    John Carpenter’s Movie: They live

    Yes, I know this movie is from 1988, but fuck this was good! Roddy Piper and Keith David were fucking great in this film. Not to mention they had one of the best fight scenes in movie history…

    In my OP the message of the movie itself is profound and it can certaintly be applied to today’s standards. with fear of a dying economy within a culture of greed. The rich were infact, aliens who controlled human social affairs through subliminal messages such as: “OBEY” “CONFORM” “CONSUME” “WATCH TELEVISION” “SLEEP” in the mass media.

    Given that today information is directly at everyone’s fingertips and there are so many social networking sites, and how popular Mass Media is, i think that this can happen. Actually, the paranoid side of me is saying this is happening… And if it is then…
